Just as a bit of a temporary work around, you can set variables in the init of players if you wish for them to have disabled open bolt simulation.

this is a problem in vanilla too depending on the tracer colour it'd probably need an rvmat tweak

I finally got the time to go through and test the remaining maps that I informed to still have this issue back in last June. It seems that the original 'problem' is now gone from those as well.
From this observation I would go on to conclude that all the IF maps have now been fixed (or is "upgraded to a new weather system" better wording in this case :)
